We don't check identities or backgrounds. You join meetups at your own responsibility – these tips help.
Before the meetup
- Check the host's profile and the participant list.
- Tell someone you trust where and with whom you're meeting.
- Stay in the app chat at first and don't share your address or phone number.
At the meetup
- Meet in public, busy places.
- Arrange your own way there and back.
- Keep an eye on your drinks and valuables.
- Trust your gut – you can leave at any time.
Red flags
- Never send money – whatever the story.
- Be careful with pressure, private meeting places or quickly moving to other messengers.
Help
- In an emergency: 112 (EU) or the local emergency number.
- Report or block people directly from their profile.
